6-6-06

I'm superstitious to the core. Dates like last Tuesday do stop and give me pause. I may not believe entirely in numbers like "666" or in the Book of Revelations but I do think there is something to it. Maybe we give power to certain things through some sort of societal collective conscience. The sign of the Beast is really just a number but because we think there is something more there, then the idea gains a certain power. So, here is my 6-6-06 story. My best buddy in the world - Waring - went in for gall bladder surgery. In the great scheme of things, that is not a big deal. I don't even think we really need our gall bladders. Their like our appendixes or something. But it was a big deal to me. My buddy who is my age and is not suppose to ever get sick had gall stones. So, see world! 6-6-06 is a bad date!

On the other hand, I wonder if the doctors let him take home his gall stones in a cute little jar. That would be kind of cool.

I also saw The Omen and it wasn't that great. Julia Stiles wore some cute outfits but the movie was almost a shot-for-shot remake of the original.
