Did you know that some cruise ships have yoga lessons? Ours did and I signed up both times it was offered. I had a blast trying to do balance poses on a moving ship with a mat on carpet. For those of you who do yoga, this is the equivalent of trying to stand on your head on a slip-and-slide.
Bill and I checked out the seated breakfast and lunch a few times. We were seated with an odd assortment of people. Some were wonderful and a few were just plain icky. We thought it was fun to meet and greet since we rarely get to do that in our current jobs. The seated meals were quite nice and the selection was always good. When not in the dining rooms, we ate at the buffet on the lido deck. There we sampled all sorts of cuisine. Each day had a different theme like Indian or German. I thought that was a nice twist and Bill and I get a big kick out of trying a little of this and a little of that.
Of course, we snacked throughout. Somebody on the ship joked about "their thirty minute feedings" but it was true. There was food everywhere and all the time. I don't know how the crew could handle that many groceries much less the strain on the plumbing. The pizza station was open 24 hours, there were hot dogs and burgers served all day, room service 'round the clock, and an ice cream bar that never had less than three people in line.
Now you know why I gained ten pounds.
I posted about Mexico earlier. It's Mexico. What can I say? We were there a few days before their presidential elections. We saw cities plastered with candidate posters. The people were nice. The food was good. I've been to Mexico a zillion times so there is nothing new to report.
