As many of you - my friends and family - may know, I am a big "conspiracy theorist". I've worn this label with both humor and angst for many years. So have many people who are true crackpots and others who simply turned out to be really in-tune with what is going on.
But really I don't know if I am a conspiracy theorist so much as a focused follower of world affairs. I pay attention to all sorts of pundits, journalists, opinionated dilitants and politicians. I listen to everything, not just the
major media outlets. Being an alternative news fan gives me, I believe, a more nuanced view of global events. I also get a heads-up on stories that never make it to CNN or BBC but are still pretty darn interesting, thought provoking and/or relevant.
Now that I've made my "no really, I'm not coocoo for cococ-puffs" disclaimer I'll share with you a little back story that has caught my attention. A buddy of mine was the first one to point it out. The Iranians might have something brewing for August 22nd. A few professional opinion people have put together a few communiques from the top brass in Tehran and sitched together an ominious idea. Iran might be planning something big on August 22nd - possibly a nuclear strike?

Yes, both sources are far right-wing so examine the content with that in mind.
I guess we'll know in 12 days.
